Heung To Middle School recently held a National Education Seminar for Form 1 students. The event was honored by the presence of representatives from the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Hong Kong Garrison as keynote speakers, with additional attendance and support from leaders of various Sham Shui Po District Care Teams.
The speaker delivered an engaging and insightful presentation on the nation's latest developments, as well as achievements in national defense and aerospace technology. In particular, the inspiring story of Dr. Lai Ka-ying—Hong Kong’s first payload specialist selected for the national reserve astronaut program—was highlighted to encourage students to pursue their aspirations and contribute to the nation.
The atmosphere throughout the seminar was lively and inspiring. Form 1 students actively participated in the interactive quiz session, demonstrating great enthusiasm and curiosity. To conclude the event, Care Team representatives presented commemorative gifts to all Form 1 students, bringing the seminar to a successful close amidst warm applause.
