To celebrate the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Heung To Middle School will hold its 2026–27 National Day Celebration on September 30th.
The ceremony opens with the inauguration of the Student Union and the Four Houses, and the installation of student leaders, as newly appointed officers formally assume their duties before the school community.
A series of award presentations follows to recognise students' outstanding achievements, including the Current Affairs Quiz Competition (Junior / Senior Secondary), the Bulletin Board Design Competition (Junior / Senior Secondary), the Chinese Recitation Selection Contest, Media First Experience 2025, the Young Athletes Scheme, Seven-a-side Football, the Sham Shui Po District Outstanding Student Election and SCMUN 2026.
After the ceremony, students can enjoy a wide range of activities: the National Affairs Quiz tests their knowledge of our nation's development; the Class BEAT Competition showcases each class's creativity and teamwork; Pictionary and Fairy Tale Brawl add fun and laughter; and a snack break gives everyone a chance to enjoy a delicious treat.
The celebration not only deepens students' understanding of our nation, but also showcases the talent and vitality of the Heung To community. As we reflect on and give thanks for our Motherland, the Heung To family continues to move forward.
